Little Monkey

Last Thursday I went into Hayden's room to get him from his nap and this is what I find...

"What Mom, Ain't I Suppose to Stand on 'Em?"

"Am I a Big Boy Now?"

The funny thing is, Hayden had a banana for the first time that morning. The banana must of had some super monkey power (like on Donkey Kong), cause I can't get him to stop climbing.
I can't believe how quickly he's growing up. It seems like he quickly discovers and then masters 'his tricks', so I never know what to expect. The *little monkey defiantly keeps me guessing.

Today I was able to video the little monkey climbing the side of his crib.
Have a look...

The only bad thing about all this climbing is that he won't sleep.
I remember when he was about 3 months old and he discovered how to roll. For about a week he wouldn't sleep cause every time I put him down he would practice rolling. He's doing the same thing again. I'll put him in his crib and instead of sleeping he'll practice climbing, standing and walking.
A Good Example is Right Now:
It's 10 pm, I'm typing and he's suppose to be asleep. But for the last 2 hours he's been climbing, standing, walking, falling and then trying again. And he's doing to ALL IN THE DARK. He'll get to the point where he's so tired he can't stand anymore, right?

I was also able to record Hayden crawling.
Last time I posted he was just barely taking a 1 step crawl. But now he's pretty much mastered it. Even though he can do it, it's still not his favorite and preferred mode of transportation. If he thinks he needs to get somewhere FAST he'll still do his army crawl.

*Hayden is only 1/2 monkey (it comes from his dad's side):
He loves to climb, but I have to force him to eat bananas. Who ever heard of a monkey not liking bananas? That's why I think he's only 1/2 monkey! :)

7 Habits of the Highly Energetic Hayden

Here is Hayden, 1 month old, with Mr. Big Bear:
Oh! So Sweet.
(He's a perfect pillow).

Here is Hayden at 7 months with Mr. Big Bear again:
WOW!
Can Teddy Bears shrink?

Can you believe it?
MY LITTLE BOY IS 7 MONTHS OLD!

7 Habits of the Highly Energetic 7 month Hayden:

1. Crawling
(well almost, he can do the action once before falling).

2. Eating
Hayden loves to eat his oatmeal and rice cereal with fruit and vegetables.
But he loves his Veggie Puffs even more.

3. Bath Time
Hayden now takes "Big Boy Baths".
He sits, lays, rolls, plays, slips and sips all in the big tub.

4. Naps
Hayden, like his mom, loves his bed. When he gets tired he will crawl over to mom or dad's feet, pound on them and whine a little. We'll take him up to his crib, where he will smother his face into his blankie, snuggle into his mattress, and fall asleep.

5. Practice his Monster
Brian has taught Hayden how to growl. It's the cutest thing and now I'll catch Hayden practicing it while daddy's at work. When Brian gets home, him and Hayden will play Monsters.

6. Sitting
Hayden loves to SIT and play.
He's become a pro at sitting. I think he enjoys it so much because he feels independent and big.

7. Practicing his Fake Laugh
Hayden has always been ahead of the game, but one thing he still needs to work on is his laugh. He tries so hard, but well sometimes trying too hard isn't a good thing.
Watch this and you'll see:

Here's s'more 7 month pictures:

Hayden SPORTIN' his fauxhawk and track jacket.

And Hayden in his "handsome clothes".

He's just my 7 month energetic, crawling, eating, bath taking, sleeping, sitting, fake laughing, handsome MONSTER; who thinks he's SO BIG.

Conglomeration

Here's a little of what we've been up too...

We went camping with the Wissinger Family at Palisades.

MY LITTLE EXPLORER
Hayden LOVES to camp.
"There's nothing better then dirt, bugs, and playtime!"
(If you look closely at Hayden's belly and knees you can see just how dirty he got while exploring. And this was taken at 11 a.m. I guess boys will be boys no matter what age.)

Hayden LOVED Shirsten
AND SO DID I.
(Every Explorer needs a Buddy and Transportation .)

Gavin, a fellow explorer, discovered and caught several frogs.
Big ones, little ones, fat ones, skinny ones, ugly ones, but definitely not cute ones!

Even Hayden, the Explorer, (not to be confused with Dora) wanted to study the big, fat, ugly frogs.

At the end of the day I was very grateful for a trailer with a tub,
big enough to fit My Little Explorer!

Aunt Ashley makes a Dress for Sewing Class.

Guess who becomes the mannequin?

Meet Hannah.
She looks a lot like Mr. Hayden Bo-Bayden, but she's different in at least 2 ways.
(1) Hannah wears dresses and (2) she has flowing, long, locks of white hair.

Jessica does Crafts.

I spent a day with the Wissinger family. Aunt Tina helped me make two block sets, while Shirsten watched Hayden. This is what we made...

This set went to the Barfield Family.

And this one went up in Hayden's room.

I think they turned out great!
Thank you Aunt Tina and Shirsten for all your help.

Barfield B-B-Q

We had the Harris' and the Barfields over for a little Good-bye BBQ.
The Barfields (Amber, Baby E, and Eddie) are moving to Louisville.
We will truly miss them :(
We wish you good luck and our prayers are with you.

The kids playing at the BBQ.
(Hayden, Ryan, and Baby E).
We will miss you Baby E!

There's our 2 week Conglomeration!
