Handy-Man/Messy-Man/No Pants Man

HANDY-MAN HAYDEN

Grandpa fixing the pantry door, and Hayden being a Handy-Man's HELPER.

(Look at his intense little face!)

Hayden had his first Handy-Man Call. Let's evaluate:

He's too dang smart and cute (he must take after his mother)!

MESSY-MAN

Hayden decided that he if he can use a fork, then the spoon must be just as easy.
Looks like he was wrong:

"It might not be as easy, but it sure was fun!"

NO-PANTS COWBOY

(For about a month, I've been meaning to video Hayden riding his rocking horse. But I continually forgot, until the day he was wearing no pants. So now he is the No-Pants Cowboy!)
Thank you Grandpa, for making the No-Pants Cowboy a Trusty No-Shoe Steed.

Hogle Zoo

While Grandma and Grandpa were visiting we went to the ZOO!

Grandpa, Grandma, and Hayden
(Grandpa always complains that he never smiles for pictures; so I thought this picture was priceless. I don't know which one's better: not smiling OR SMILING!)

Hayden sees the Monkeys

Hayden and Grandma looking at the Elephants

Isn't the baby so dang cute?

Mom and Hayden sitting on a Fake Elephant Trunk,
that made elephant noises which sounded more like bodily functions.

Not only was there a Fake Elephant to Sit on, but also a Fake Bat Mobile.
How Lucky Were We?

(Now sitting on a Fake Bear)
Grandpa and Hayden riding the Carousel, which was Hayden's favorite experience!
He thought he was way too cool to even look at mom while riding.

Hayden and Grandpa observing the Birds, while holding their breath. It was the stinkiest place I've ever been. The smell about knocks you off your feet when you walk in. There should've been a CAUTION or HAZARD sign posted outside. (Don't be fooled by Grandpa's smile.)

Hayden, Grandpa, and Grandma posing by the giraffes.

Another picture on a fake animal. A Rhino this time.
During the winter, I bet the fake animals out-number the live ones.
Or maybe all the fake animals used to be alive but they froze during the harsh Utah winter, which seems like it's never going away!

Oh look, Hayden sitting on another fake, or frozen, animal.
("We have to stop by the Carrousel again, it's his favorite part." say's the ever indulging Grandma.)

And we finished the trip with a ride on the Hogle Zoo Choo-Choo Train.

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for taking Hayden to the Zoo, for his very first time!

The "Wright" Kind of Graduation

Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Jamie came down for Nick and Ashley's BYU Graduation.

Here's all of us in our seats, waiting for the ceremony to begin.

The 2 BYU Graduates:
Nick and Ashley Wright
Congrats!!

Hayden couldn't keep his hands off of Ashley's tassel
(her Graduation tassel that is)!

Grandpa/Dad/James, Nick, Ashley, Grandma/Mom/Leigh Anne

Great-Grandpa/Grandpa...., Nick, Ashley, Great-Grandma/Grandma....

(I hope he's just as cute, when he graduates!)

He's an Outside Boy

In the middle of April (when the weather was fantastic),
we went for our first camping/4-wheeling trip of the season.

Our location was Great-Grandpa Johnson's.
Don't let the Great-Grandpa name fool you,
he drives his 4-wheeler like a bad out of H-E-double toothpicks,
if you know what I mean!!

We brought along Uncle Blake and Aunt Megan, it was their first time on 4-wheelers. Uncle Blake had a blast, and Aunt Megan is currently still deciding.
(This picture would be so much better-looking if Aunt Megan was in it!)

Here's me getting ready for a ride, Safety First!

Thanks Dad for the great little camping trip;
cause you know me "I'm an Outside Boy"!

SPRING brings: Sunshine, Sandals, and Smiles!

On Saturday we spent ALL of our time working on
our little, itty, bitty back yard/cement square.
We weeded, swept, planted, watered, fixed, and cleaned. And if you can believe it we spend approximately 8 hrs. on a 12 x 15 area
(we only had to go to Home Depot 3 times, chase Hayden 5 times, clean-up thrown dirt (Hayden) 3 times, and nap (Hayden again) twice).

To celebrate all of our hard work we ate dinner outside:

And played, played, played til the sun went down:

We even ate snacks outside:

This picture reminds me of how fast he grows.
Look at how tall he's getting.
But he's skinnier then ever
(if he runs long enough his pants slip right off).
He's just like his Uncle, Elder Kyle :)

We even snuck back outside after church.

Aren't they handsome? :)

I'm so grateful for Springtime; for the fun, smiles, and sunshine!

Little Update:
Hayden's Sidewalk Wipe-Out is healing nicely.
The scabs feel off yesterday and now he has a little pink nose.
Thank you Inventor of Neosporin and for all the Hugs and Kisses from WA!

Sidewalk Wipe-Out

Yesterday was Hayden's First Sidewalk Wipe-Out!
It was so sad to see my little boy's perfect, precious face destroyed by rough, grainy cement;
but I know that it definitely won't be the last time.

Here is Hayden after we got him cleaned-up:
The Shininess is from Neosporin and tears.
Yes, that is blood on my shirt/apron, but you should have seen HIS shirt, talk about a battle wound, it looked like someone had shot him :)
The inside of his mouth bleed for about 5 minutes, so no permanent damage there. But the sidewalk "cheese-grated" the tip of his nose, upper lip, and chin, which left Hayden looking like he has a really, REALLY bad snotty nose, that leaks all the way down to his chin.

But even with a "cheese-grated" face
he was still happy-go-lucky as ever:

Grandma and Nana,
he may need some Hugs and Kisses sent to Utah!

BIG SAVE

A couple months ago I decided to make my "Stay At Home Mom" job more challenging and worthwhile. So I dove into the world of couponing. It's been hard, but rewarding. I'm nowhere near other couponing moms, but today I feel like I had a BIG SAVE. So I kinda want to brag.

I got all this for $0.31!
Oh! Plus the cost of a stamp ($0.44) to send in the rebate.
(The stamp is going to cost more then what I paid!)
So all-in-all, it was a pretty good day!

SHOUT OUT to all the Stay At Home Moms!! :)
